How long does it take you to draw one? Do you always go for the “first take” or do you draw several drafts?
When we started I really didn’t want them to take more than 10 minutes so that I wouldn’t have too much trouble doing one every day… but the thing is, people started looking, so I felt compelled to spend longer on each one. On average they take between 40 minutes and an hour, and the vast majority of them are first takes. For more complex ones I might scribble a thumbnail before starting… and every once in a while, I’ll draw so badly that I have to start again.
Far and away the hardest part is finding a tweet to draw. Suggestions are welcome (although check the rules section on this site before sending them).

On the subject of multiple drafts, sometimes I balls up the transcription of the tweet itself… as in today’s, although I only noticed after I’d uploaded it.
